Do you wake up Monday morning and jump out of bed excited to conquer the challenges that your job will bring that day? If you have to think before answering, this may apply to you.
In my day job as a recruitment consultant I assist hiring managers to identify top talent. Only candidates that fit those jobs get attention and guidance. What about the other 99%? For 15 years I have been sending away those who were looking for professional shifts in their career but that didn’t fit into the recruiter model.
Collaborating with a career coach can give you a competitive advantage over your peers. It increases engagement with your work and gets you out of your head and into a different mindset to create new perspectives and possibilities. Together we will overcome obstacles or blind spots standing in your way and you will shift towards gaining confidence, insight, encouragement and inspiration for whatever your next challenges may be on the horizon.
“The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” Steve Jobs

Our objective is to work in tandem to unleash your best self. Working with Cindy was a life changing experience for me. During our very first conversation I had an aha! moment that moved me to tears, brought on by Cindy gently asking me the same questions I’d been asking myself, but was persistently too afraid to answer. Our subsequent sessions began with Cindy asking what I hoped to achieve during our time together and, though I was sometimes stumped at first, I was always surprised at what came out of my mouth. The person answering wasn’t my social/outwardly self, it was my real/raw self. There is something about her calm and steady presence that cuts straight to the core of the matter and allows you to jump right into the stuff that is difficult for us mere mortals to access in the clutter of our daily lives.

Professional coaching from Cindy is a game-changer. Never having tried anything like it before, I was unsure of what to expect (and admittedly a little sceptic) when I first engaged her services – but facing some major changes at work, I decided to give it a shot. I am so thankful that I did. She asked open-ended questions that allowed me to talk, listened attentively to what I had to say, probed gently with follow-up questions when she detected a pattern (which led me in unexpected directions!), and ultimately let me come to my own conclusions. In doing so, she helped me realize what I really wanted to achieve and worked with me to formulate a personal roadmap for getting there.
In our sessions, Cindy always reinforced the positive – she helped me uncover my strongest attributes and abilities, and together we explored ways to make them work to my advantage. When we found an area where there was room for improvement, she left me with a specific objective/task to complete before our next appointment. Each time I left our sessions, I felt energized, confident, and ready to tackle the homework assignment – and with each task completed, I felt I was making concrete progress towards my professional goals.
Cindy is one of the few people I’ve met who has found her calling. Drawing on what can only be described as an incredible instinct, a real passion for what she does, and knowledge of business and human behaviour from her years in recruitment, she is a remarkable career coach.
Thank you, Cindy, for helping me see (and seize) opportunity in a situation that I initially found extremely challenging.
